About Me

I have been living and working in Devon for over twenty six years having lived and worked all over the country including
several years in London.

For fifteen of those years I have been working with independent businesses in the South West, including Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, Avon & Dorset.

My initial Management training was with Marks & Spencer Plc., specialising in Staff Management & Training then I moved to establish a Personnel & Training department with a major fashion multiple in the 70’s & 80’s.


Since then, I have run a finance company, worked in sales & marketing in the manufacturing industry, run my own business (fashion & catering), done a stint in commercial radio, combining sales skills with creating imaginative and effective advertising, and finally spent twelve years in Fuels Marketing with ExxonMobil.

So I combine broad based, hands on industry experience in large corporations and small local companies and I have a close working knowledge of the particular challenges we face in the South West.

It was in commercial radio and during my time with ExxonMobil that I became closely involved with independent businesses, getting to grips with the ethos of each company, building good working relationships engendering confidence in me and my ability to help them get the best out of  their operations.


My consultancy, therefore seems to me to be the most natural progression.
